A New Year to Serve!

“So we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” 1 Thessalonians 2:8

We want thank you for your generous support throughout this year. God has shown mercy to us through his grace and support from the body of Christ. As we begin 2017, we would like to give you our vision for the year.

-Ministry plan-

-We will be continuing the work with the indigenous people on the Tambo River, training leaders and preaching the gospel message.
-The local church plant in Cuzco, Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia, is growing and in need of more leaders. We will begin a leadership-training program for those within the church body. We are in the works of inviting guest from the States to support in this training process. We are also planning to utilize a training organization ministry already established here in Peru that is recognized within the country.
-As we have become established in the local community, we desire to expand the ministry with intentional and Biblical outreaches in where God can be glorified and exalted. We are careful not to place the eyes and hearts on the pastors but on Christ and him crucified.
-We will also begin discussions on raising funds for buying property and building a church.
-The overarching goal is God’s glory, which includes expository preaching, discipleship (imparting biblical truths while walking along side the person), to foster spiritual growth.

-Family-

-Jayne is in the middle of our home school year. Christian is in the 5th grade and Micah is in the 2nd grade.
-We are hoping to take our first family vacation this year within Peru.
-We are praying about and considering Joe to start an online Masters in Divinity program.

Why do we go to the unreached people of Peru preaching and teaching? Because we want God’s name and glory to be magnified among the nations. Our vision is to train indigenous leaders and pastors throughout Peru so that they may be better equipped to reach their people for Jesus Christ.

We would like to thank you for all that you do and have done for our family. We pray for our supporters regularly. Please continue to pray that God’s name would be glorified and that He would receive the glory and honor. Please prayerfully consider financially partnering with our family as we continue the work here in Peru. Your monthly support enables us to live and work among the Quechuan people sharing the gospel.
