Hello brothers and sisters in Christ,
We pray that you are well as we think of you often. April was a busy month for our family and ministry here in Cusco, Peru. However, God has been gracious to us and the local church, Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia. We hosted a conference on The History of Christianity based on the book by Justo L. Gonzalez. We had a great turnout each evening throughout the week, 30-40 local people within the community, as well as local pastors and leaders. We are grateful to have had Carl Hattaway join us and for his willingness to teach and invest time in the local church and Peruvian church leaders. Joe spent each evening translating for Carl. This was a beautiful opportunity for the locals to be able to have biblical training that would otherwise be difficult for them to obtain. Those who attended were also given the book History of Christianity by Justo L. Gonzalez at the end of the conference. They were filled with joy to receive their very own book. Books and materials can often be difficult to find or very expensive here so this was another blessing for the people. Thank you for your prayers during this pastoral conference and for your continual encouragement and support as we help train and equip the local people.
Our main focus is the local church and helping the members grow into spiritual maturity. This is not a process that is done in a week but established through God and expository preaching, evangelizing, and discipling throughout the course of a lifetime. We thank God for rising up brothers and sister who truly desire to follow Christ which is described through Scripture.
We depend on God to rise up our monthly supporters. Please prayerfully consider financially partnering with us as we continue to work through the local church to reach the lost, invest in the local body, and impact the community though the gospel. We would not be able to continue without our brothers and sisters in Christ holding the rope for us. Thank you!
Why do we go to the unreached people of Peru preaching and teaching? Because we want God’s name and glory to be magnified among the nations. Our vision is to train indigenous leaders and pastors throughout Peru so that they may be better equipped to reach their people for Jesus Christ.
