“So we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” 1 Thessalonians 2:8
April 4-6, 2018, La Iglesis Cristiana de la Gracia Cusco hosted a team from Montana. Three pastors were able to teach and preach, while Joe translated, to indigenous pastors from all over Peru. They taught from the book Dangerous Calling by Paul Tripp. Many traveled long distances for the opportunity to hear Biblical teaching and training that is so desperately needed. The church was able to provide housing and meals for 10 pastors who traveled in from various areas. Some men traveled 24 hours by bus to get here. Each evening we had 65-75 people attend the conference. After the last night of teaching, all of the pastors who were in attendance were able to receive a free book of Dangerous Calling in Spanish. Many other free materials were given throughout the week provided by Chapel Library. We, as a church, were encouraged by how many came. We pray that this was a good opportunity for pastors to be better equipped to reach their own people for Jesus Christ. We pray that God’s name was glorified through this conference.
Each evening before the conference began part of the team was able to hold a Vacation Bible School for the children. They taught lessons and were able to bring in many materials for crafts that can be hard to find or purchase here. We were so grateful in how they were able to bless the children a part of the Children’s Club, church, and neighborhood.
Why do we go to the unreached people of Peru preaching and teaching? We go because we want God’s name and glory to be magnified among the nations. Our vision is to train indigenous leaders and pastors throughout Peru so that they may be better equipped to reach their people for Jesus Christ.
We would like to thank you for all that you do and have done for our family. We pray for our supporters regularly. Please continue to pray that God’s name would receive the glory and honor.
Our monthly support has begun to drop and so we are in need of more financial partners. Please prayerfully consider financially partnering with our family as we continue the work here in Peru. Your monthly support enables us to live and work among the Quechuan people sharing the gospel. Will you partner with us?
Please feel free to share about us and the ministry with your family and friends
