The word missionary refers to someone who has been specifically directed by God to go to a foreign country, to a foreign people, language and culture to serve Him there. Missionaries originate from a sending Office like the USA or Canada and go to the foreign country to serve as “guests” within the country and mission.
It is the role of The Foundation for Missions USA to train and send out all Missionaries and Field Coordinators. All missionary candidates will be screened and approved by their local church; their home county’s Foundation Office (i.e. Foundation Canada, Foundation Europe) and referred to The Foundation (USA) for final approval, training and supervision.
On the Field, each ministry, indigenous pastor, indigenous Christian leader, and project is directly accountable to the local Foundation Missionary or Foundation Field Coordinator. The Missionary and/or Field Coordinator insure communication back to The Foundation and Offices. In some areas there may be more than one Missionary or Field Coordinator. Each missionary is accountable to their sending Office for their personal funding. They are accountable to The Foundation for their performance, Christian character and responsibility for hosting mission teams, channeling support and pioneering projects.
Please take the time to browse through some of the missionaries currently working through and with the Foundation for Missions. Many that are associated with us are not listed due to the sensitive situations they are working under.
Please join us in prayer and support of their work for the Lord. 100% of your donations for financial assistance for them will be passed on to them through the Foundation for Missions.
