Foundation For Missions-Russia

Edward & Julia

Edward Ananyev

Update January 2021:**Please note that this website will close as we close Foundation for Missions on April 30th, 2021. Please be in contact with your missionary partner on how best to redirect your donations**

Edward grew up under the spiritual leadership of Bishop Nikolai Zalutsky in Pskov, Russia. He attended the Pskov Bible College under the leadership of Norm and Connie Flagg. He graduated in 1994.

Edward believed then that God had a calling on his life to serve in missions “Here am I, send me” (Isaiah 6:8) has been his guiding word from God. So he started by serving the Lord in youth ministry at the church and later became the director of the Pskov Bible College. In 2006 the Lord called him to serve as the Administrator for the Russian Union of Evangelical Churches and later to become the pastor for the Chinese churches in Moscow.

Edward Ananev Ph.D. is now serving as Director of Foundation for Missions in Moscow, Russia, where he lives with his wife Julia and their young son, Jan. He also has two young adult daughters; Angelika and Liana.

Foundation for Missions Vision in Russia:

Foundation for Missions in Russia carries out educational ministry. They develop different study programs, conduct learning process in stationary Bible schools in Volgograd (Central Russia) and Barnaul (Western Siberia).

They have a ministry in Moscow where they serve Chinese and Vietnamese immigrants who have come to work. They preach the Gospel and teach them God’s Word.

They also do work in the East Ukraine where military action still continues. As a church they keep a distance from politics. Today there is a war in East Ukraine between the central authority (Kiev) and pro-Russian separatist regions (Donetsk and Luhansk). A lot of missions are working in that region, helping people, who live on the territory controlled by Kiev. There is however a lack of help to those who find themselves in the territory of pro-Russian separatists. As a mission they have a purpose to help those who are in need. People in separatist regions are in a hostage type situation. Ukraine has rejected them, and Russia cannot accept them either.

They also have missionary projects in Africa. This year (2020) our small team of 4 people plan to have a trip to Gweru in Zimbabwe. There is a need to build missionary centre in this town, because the old one was destroyed in a fire. As well as working on the construction, they are going to preach the Gospel in nearby villages and serve in churches.

Dear friends, we are so grateful for your participation in our projects. We thank you for your prayers and financial support.

Every bit helps.

Our love and prayers for you,

Edward and Julia

Edward is also the author of five scientific publications and two books; “Social Service of Russian Protestants” and “ Church and Society.”

Please pray for him as he develops the program and vision for Foundation for Missions in Russia.

Foundation for Missions
Update from our dear friends and missionaries, Jim and Nancy Hartsock, as they move to a new organisation with our closure at the end of this month. Please pray for them as they continue to minister and serve! "His Blessings Are New Every Morning! Last year was definitely a year of change, a year of trials and a year of blessings. You, our partners were faithful and thanks to you, we were able to keep our work in Nicaragua going even though we have not been able to return. In fact, it has thrived, thanks to your willingness to be used by God. One major change in that Foundation for Missions, our legal and spiritual covering, is closing as of April 30. After much prayer, we have decided to join Commission Ministers Network, a group that oversees people like us who have to come stateside frequently. We are excited about our new relationship and are grateful that our donors still can get giving statements for their taxes. Our work and commitment have not changed, just our covering. You will find below the needed information to make tax deductible donations to our work in Nicaragua. You can also visit their website to find out more about our new covering. Please keep us in prayer as we work toward a return to Nicaragua. And join us in praising Him that our students have continued to receive breakfast and scholarships. The teachers have been blessed with COVID relief during mandated closures that cancelled paychecks. Plus, literally hundreds of families have received food baskets and personal items after the hurricane's devastation. COVID relief dollars have helped families eat and stay safe during mandated closures. Nicaragua's poor have felt God's love through you. Thank you!In His Service,Jim & Nancywww.cmnetwork.org Click on the Donate tab and start typing James and our name will be there. Click on that and it will take you to our donate page." ... Foundation for Missions
Please read this important update from Joe and Jayne Martinez who serve in Peru. We have been blessed to partner with these guys especially since they are family. Please keep them in your prayers as they transition: "New Missions Organization:I am writing to discuss with you a very important transition for our family from the Foundation for Missions to Indian Trail Church and Missionary Financial Services. We have been living and serving in South America since October 2009. We are so grateful for the many who have helped carry us through all these years by prayers and financial giving. We would like to personally thank you for your donations to the Martinez Family. We’re honored you would bless us with your generosity. Donations like yours make a big difference in the work in Cusco, Peru. Without givers like you, we would not be able to live and work here in Cusco. Because of your continual support, we can preach the gospel, make disciples, and support others within the community who need help. Thank you! Because ITC and MFS are a tax-exempt nonprofit, you also get to write your donations off on your taxes. At the end of the year, ITC or MFS will send you an annual recap with how much you’ve given to the Martinez Family. We are extremely grateful and honored that you would choose us. We are encouraged by your generosity and sacrificial giving. Please make this change as soon as possible." Read more on their website:www.martinezmissions.com ... See MoreSee Less
