Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
August 26th, 2017
Two years ago, our daughter’s church came to Nicaragua on a short-term mission trip. At that time, they connected with Dorothy Ibarra, principal of “El Faro” (Lighthouse Christian Academy), a Christian school in Managua that is struggling to get by due to rising costs and parents inability to pay tuition. It costs about $100/month/child to run the school but many parents cannot afford this. So 2 years ago, Mulberry Church of God decided to sponsor a child. Now 2 years later Dorothy related to us what a blessing this has been to the child, his family and the school.
So now that we are “on the ground”, we are initiating our child sponsorship program. Dorothy pointed out two students, whose parents are only able to pay about half of the tuition. So for these two a donation of $53 per month would cover the deficit and make it possible for them to remain in school. Please consider committing to support one of these children. If you cannot afford $53/month for a year, we can work with partial amounts as well. Now meet these bright children, future leaders in Nicaragua
