New Elder in Training

Dear friends and family,

We pray that you doing well in the Lord. God continues to be faithful to his church always when we depend on the Holy Spirit, magnify Christ, and display His glorious plan of redemption found in his Son. We want to thank you for being our encouragers and supporters as we live in work in Peru.

We want share what God is doing here in Cusco among the church plant Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia. Within the next few months, we will be adding new members to the church body. Praise the Lord for His goodness.

We currently have a pastor in training, Jair Uriarte. The elders and church members have been talking to Jair for several months and have presented him to the church as a pastorate candidate this month. The process takes around 3-4 months and God willing we will ordain him as a pastor of Iglesia Cristiana de la GraciaJair has been a dear friend and apart of the church family for over three years now, so we are excited to have him come along side us as we shepherd His sheep.

We have outgrown our church building we have been renting for the past 4 years and are looking for a larger location. This is a huge praise as it means we are growing. As we continue to grow, please pray that we remain firm to preaching Christ life, death and resurrection.

Family News: I have completed my first semester of seminary and by God’s grace I did well.  It was a challenging semester as I learned to balance family, ministry, and studies. By God’s grace and faithfulness, it has gone well and I have learned so much through my studies in becoming a better pastor and teacher. Christian, Micah and Eliana continue to grow as Jayne and I continue to point them towards Christ, shepherding their hearts. Jayne and I are confiding more in God and growing closer together as we depend more on Him.

Why do we go to the unreached people of Peru preaching and teaching? Because we want God’s name and glory to be magnified among the nations. Our vision is to train indigenous leaders and pastors throughout Peru so that they may be better equipped to reach their people for Jesus Christ.

We pray for our supporters regularly and would like to thank you for pouring into our family. We also pray that you may be willing to partner with us that we may continue the work to establish a solid biblical church. Also, pray that God raises up leaders for the ministry and that He would sustain our family as we live and work among the indigenous people of Cusco, Peru and Amazon jungle.
