We want thank you for your generous support throughout this year. God has shown mercy to us through his grace and support from the body of Christ.
As we begin 2018, we would like to give you our vision for the year.
– Ministry Plan –
-We will be continuing the work with the indigenous people on the Tambo River, training leaders and preaching the gospel message.
-The local church plant in Cuzco, Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia, is growing and in need of more leaders. We have begun a leadership-training program for those within the church body. This past year we have invited guests from the States to support in this training process. More teams are scheduled for this coming year. We are also utilizing a training organization ministry already established here in Peru that is recognized within the country. Between March and April we will be ordaining another Elder at Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia. Please continue to pray for Jair Uriate, who is a local doctor and is in training to become an elder, as he will be reducing his hours at the clinic he works for as to dedicate more time to the ministry.
-Because the church has outgrown its current location, the elders and members are praying for a new building and how to better reach more people through the expansion of home groups.
– As we have become established in the local community, we desire to expand the ministry with intentional and Biblical outreaches in where God can be glorified and exalted. We are careful not to place the eyes and hearts on the pastors but on Christ and him crucified.
-The overarching goal is God’s glory, which includes expository preaching, discipleship (imparting biblical truths while walking along side the person), to foster spiritual growth.
– Family –
-Jayne is in the middle of our home school year. Christian is in the 6th grade and Micah is in the 3rd grade.
-Joe has finished is first semester with his Masters in Divinity program. He will continue in his studies this coming year.
-We have currently opened our home to local University students who are in need of a place to live while they go to school.
Why do we go to the unreached people of Peru preaching and teaching? We go because we want God’s name and glory to be magnified among the nations. Our vision is to train indigenous leaders and pastors throughout Peru so that they may be better equipped to reach their people for Jesus Christ.
We would like to thank you for all that you do and have done for our family. We pray for our supporters regularly. Please continue to pray that God’s name would be glorified and that He would receive the glory and honor. Please prayerfully consider financially partnering with our family as we continue the work here in Peru. Your monthly support enables us to live and work among the Quechuan people sharing the gospel.
