“The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.”
In 2013, Jair walked into the doors of Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia, the church plant here in Cusco, Peru. The church instantly embraced and welcomed him into the body of Christ. The Lord began to work in him as he had the desire to pastor the people of the local church. He took 8 months off from working and attended a seminary in Lima. He then married Alexandra, a missionary from Germany. After this, he and his wife returned to Cusco where he could still work at a local missionary clinic as their general doctor and go through eldership training through Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia.
We would like to announce that Iglesias Cristiana de la Garcia has had the privilege of ordaining another elder. He has been with the local church for 4 years and under eldership training and evaluation for almost two years. By God’s grace the church is growing in spiritual maturity and love for one another. Please pray for Jair as the new pastor of the flock in which the Lord has entrusted us with.
Why do we go to the unreached people of Peru preaching and teaching? We go because we want God’s name and glory to be magnified among the nations. Our vision is to train indigenous leaders and pastors throughout Peru so that they may be better equipped to reach their people for Jesus Christ.
Please prayerfully consider financially partnering with our family as we continue the work here in Peru. Your monthly support enables us to live and work among the Quechuan people sharing the gospel.
