The Ladies Christmas party was a huge success this year. The evening was filled with crafts, games, a meal, fellowship, and a message of the true meaning of Christmas.
Because the ladies love to do a craft, my sweet mother donated beads and materials needed for each lady to be able to make their own bracelets. The game with my big carpet bag I invented a couple of years ago. It is filled with all kinds of gifts including jewelry, makeup, candles, chocolates, coffee, and much more. The ladies put their hand inside to feel around and pick an item. Whatever they pick out they are aloud to take home. Many of the ladies cannot afford to purchase gifts to give away for a gift exchange, so I came up with this game as a way for all of the ladies to receive a gift. Of course, I have one silly gift hidden inside, which is always a plastic yellow chicken, to make the game more exciting and fun.
A member of Iglesia Cristiana de la Gracia, gave the message. Within the culture here, there is a tendency to focus on doing good deeds so that one may win their way into heaven. However, the local church is teaching that we need to focus on the birth of His Son so that we may be in God, through Christ.
The last Friday of every month, the women have a service. Please keep the ladies in your prayers as we fellowship and worship together.
We want to thank you for your continual prayers, encouragement, and support. We are praising and thanking the Lord for our supporters this holiday season.
Why do we go to the unreached people of Peru preaching and teaching? We go because we want God’s name and glory to be magnified among the nations. Our vision is to train indigenous leaders and pastors throughout Peru so that they may be better equipped to reach their people for Jesus Christ.
Please prayerfully consider financially partnering with our family as we continue the work here in Peru. Your monthly support enables us to live and work among the Quechuan people sharing the gospel. Will you partner with us?
