Rachel (Sowers) and Brandy Reyes

Serving in Honduras

Rachel and Brandy with Nathan

As of January 2019 Rachel and Brandy are changing their supporting mission organization from Foundation for Missions to ‘Running for Him 24-7′, also known as  ‘Honduran Fellowship of Missionaries and Ministries’.
Both are non-profits and run by the John and Adriana Mattica, but in different countries (Running for Him = USA / Honduran Fellowship = Honduras). Rachel used to work/partner with the Honduran Fellowship as part of their member care team, and they are excited at the prospect of being part of their US organization!  This change is a better fit for their ministry as they will have support form them in both the USA and Honduras.
Foundation for Missions wishes them well as they go and grow in this transition.

Brandy, Rachel and their adorable son Nathan are serving in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where they were called to start up a scholarship program (Cultivating Hope) that helps young Honduran Christian women, from poor and rural backgrounds, to achieve their dreams of a college education!

Rachel, who was born in the US, moved to Honduras as a missionary kid in 2001, when she was 9 years old, and has lived there ever since! There she met Brandy, an officer and pilot in the Honduran Air Force, and they have been happily married since 2013.

Nathan, who is currently their only child, was born in 2017.

They both have a passion for helping young adults in their pursuit of a college education and are so excited to be called into such an amazing ministry!

Brandy, who is from a relatively poor Honduran family, feels extremely blessed to have been able to achieve a college education through the Honduran Air Force Academy, and wants to give the same opportunity to as many young people as the Lord provides for!

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
