Honorarium / Memorial Gifts

Q: Why have my recurring donations stopped?

A: Your details need updating, your credit card has expired OR your recurring donation has come to the end of your specified period.

We apologize for the inconvenience of having to enter your credit card information and donation specifics again. Since the security of your credit card information is our top priority, we (Foundation administration) do not have access to the information you initially entered and cannot simply transfer your information. We do not have access to your credit card information. If you have personally given details to us and authorized a change, after your data has been entered into the system your details will be securely destroyed. These measures are in place to assure that your credit card information remains confidential and secure. No employee of the Foundation for Missions will have access to your personal credit card information.


Q: Why have I received a cancellation notice for my recurring donation?

A: Your recurring donations have been cancelled OR your recurring term has come to an end.

When your credit card information is entered, you will receive a confirmation email of your recurring donation, along with the specifics of your donation. To reinstate your recurring donation please visit the Donation Page and enter your payment details. We apologize for any inconvenience.


Q: Can I give directly to Foundation for Missions Where Needed Most?

A: Yes.

The Foundation for Missions Global Fund provides for services such as training and equipping for our missionaries’, ambassadors, partners, conferences, retreats and ministry needs. Only about 3% percent of our annual budget is covered by the contributions given to our missionaries. Provision comes from other sources the remainder of our operating expenses. To designate your donation for this purpose, indicate “Foundation for Missions Global Fund” when you give your gift, or click here to give to this fund right now.


Q: Are my donations tax-deductible?

A: Yes if you donate through our organization and are a resident of the USA.

Foundation of Saint Peter (doing business as Foundation for Missions) is a 501(c)3 organization and, as such, is registered as a non-profit organization.

Donations for missionaries, ambassadors, programs and projects, and Foundation for Missions Global Fund are tax-deductible.  According to IRS guidelines, such gifts remain under the jurisdiction and control of Foundation for Missions.

Q: How much of my donation does the Missionary/Ambassador personally receive?

A: Foundation for Missions provides an array of support and services to our missionaries. This includes, and not limited to, orientation and training, team trip support and planning, pastoral care, retreats and conferences, and administrative support.

  • Only 3% of your donation helps enable the Missionary/Ambassador to receive these important support services. Foundation for Missions passes on 97% of what we receive directly towards the personal support of the missionary/ambassador.
  • 5% of your donation enables the administration of Projects and Programs to be processed. A significant amount of work is involved in administration of the various sponsorship programs, building projects etc. Foundation for Missions passes on 95% of what we receive for Projects and Programs.

Q: How can I update my credit card number, expiration date, or any other aspects of my recurring donations?

A: Yes. You can let us know of the change or cancellation and then go online and enter your donation again. Or you can contact us with the details and authorize our accountant Thuy Dang to make any changes to your credit card giving.

Q: How can I update my contact information?

Q: Are there bank, credit card or transaction fees to consider when I make a donation.

A: Yes.

Check directly with the institution you are dealing with. Credit card companies charge up to 3%. Fees by these institutions will be deducted from your donation before Foundation for Missions receives them for processing.

It is more expensive to process credit and debit card payments than to receive checks.

The most cost effective way to make a donation is by way of direct debit to Foundation for Missions.

And it saves on paper and mailing costs!

Q: How do I donate by check?

 A: Make your check payable to Foundation for Missions and use the memo line of the check to state the name of the missionary, ambassador or program/project you wish to support. Checks through the US postal system can take up to 3 weeks to get to us. Online donations save on postage, paper and time!

Q: I would like to make my payments for a team trip I am going on through Foundation for Missions. How do I do this? And is there a fee involved?

 A: Yes. You can make this payment either by check or online. Foundation for Missions charges $100 per team member for preparing and administration of team trips. Cost of your trip is possibly tax deductible.

At Foundation for Missions (hereafter referred to as FFM), we are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personal information.

It is FFM’s policy to comply with applicable privacy laws. Sometimes the privacy legislation and/or an individual’s right to privacy are different from one jurisdiction to another. Consequently, the rights and obligations contained in this Privacy Policy may not be available to everyone, everywhere. Where we share your personal information with one of our Ministry Partners in other countries outside of the United States, that partner will be responsible for your personal information and their use of your personal information will be subject to the applicable laws in that country.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, personal information is information about you, individually, such as your name, address, telephone number, email or any other information you supply us with in order for FFM to complete your request or service.

You may at any time request from us what information we have on file for you.

  1. How do we use and store this information

Our accounting department will gather your personal information and any banking, financial or credit card details as supplied by you and required to complete a donation transaction that you have initiated through the FFM website, Facebook Page Donate Button, via an email, phone conversation or the completion of a bank check, ACH form or the forms of other financial institutions e.g. MoneyGram.

We will also use your personal information to mail/email you receipts for donations, information on the programs, projects and individuals that you have supported, partnered with or shown an interest in currently or in the past via newsletters.

We reserve a conservative marketing profile at FFM and in this regard only send out what is relevant or may be of interest in emergency relief situations in terms of mission support.

We endeavor to keep all information secure as possible by ensuring our website is kept up to date, and all data held in office is kept under password protection. Where we have received a hard copy of information that hard copy will be securely destroyed after the relevant information is used to process the required service e.g. ACH forms

We do not share your data with any other outside party unless expressly given permission by you.

  1. Subscribe/Unsubscribe/Opt Out Policy

You may at any time request to be subscribed to our monthly newsletters via our website or contact us directly to do so.

You may also choose to opt out/unsubscribe to these newsletters at any time. We use Constant Contact for newsletter mail out, which monitors new subscribers or new unsubscribes.
